Ode to Vermeer

I always find myself in awe of Vermeer’s work. The way he captured the subtlety of light in his paintings with almost photographic realism is breathtaking. This is my 3D rendition of the infamous Girl with the Pearl Earring painting.

Civil War Soldier

Join us on a journey as we bring history to life through the art of facial approximation. In this captivating animation, I pay homage to those who have left their mark on time but have lost their voices in the sands of history. Through painstaking research and intricate reconstruction, I strive to uncover the faces and stories of the past, reminding us that each person, no matter how long ago, had a unique and meaningful existence. My mission is one of respect, curiosity, and remembrance. Watch as I bridge the gap between yesterday and today, and honor the lives of those who came before us.

Spaceman Spiff

Bill Watterson’s Calvin & Hobbes comics have brought me so many years of laughter. I wanted to pay tribute with this render of Spaceman Spiff crashing onto a distant planet.

Rey on Tattooine

Something of a cross-over. Rey visits Jabba/Fett’s Palace.

Frank the Yeti looks out over his mountain range.

This could be considered fan art. This cute little guy is the creation of Tesia, from Sweet Kawaii Designs. My family is a little obsessed with her stickers, lol.

I wanted to bring Frank out of the 2D sticker world and into the 3D world of Blender. I think he’d like it there.

Blubby aka Eddie

My daughters have named him blubby, but I refer to him as Eddie (yes, his fish was Buddy, may he rest in peace) in homage to Adam Goldberg’s character on Friends (season 2 episodes 17-19). I sincerely hope Eddie got the help he needed.

The Cave Dweller

Rhydderch Hael, the brave knight, the wielder of the flaming sword, Dyrnwyn (White-Hilt), enters the cave of Hrungnir to put an end to his reign of terror.

Everything was done in Blender and rendered "in camera" with Eevee. Hrungnir's torso was found on TurboSquid, I sculpted the bottom half in Blender.

The knight is from Mixamo.
